Forever young
In a tri-tone maze of life;
Bordered by
Grey-white
Stunted walls
With safety corners:
Such was my youth.
The keepers of the garden,
The tenders of the lawn,
They loved us so much.
Trays of morsels,
Four round a chalice mount
Arranged for mutual
Pleasure;
Festive menagerie behind
Wooden glass,
Laughing at Jerry,
“Who’s daddy’s boy?”
Commune of love,
You both gave all
Receiving to this very day
Our heartfelt thanks
And admiration.
Relish that.
